This picture is a broad explanation for the replacement of a bad aortic valve. In this particular picture, they are substituting an artificial/mechanical valve to act as if the patient's valve is good as new. I felt this picture would provide my viewers with a visual representation of how a physician would go about replacing an aortic valve.
